Riding Lessons & Horsemanship

Horseback riding is FUN! Emphasis is placed on correct riding basics and developing a relationship with the horse. Horsemanship skills such as handling, grooming, and tacking are taught and expected as students gain more confidence.

Sarah specializes in balanced seat equitation and combined training (dressage & jumping).

There are no requirements to compete in shows to be part of the lesson program.

Riding lessons are available at Russells Reach Farm on well schooled horses.

Horsemanship classes on the ground are open to current riding students & offered 1-2x per month

Beginner

All new students start in private lessons to ensure correct riding basics before moving onto group lessons and activities.

Intermediate

Students progressing to group lessons benefit from increased responsibility, peer comraderie, new challenging activities & horses.

Advancing your skills

Students riding confidently in group lessons qualify to participate in unsupervised practice rides, our horse leasing program, off property schooling opportunities, and other special activities. Ask Sarah for more information.
